D23 Movie News: Biggest Announcements and Reveals

The classic Toy Story will be rereleased in theaters September 12th, giving long time fans and newcomers a chance to see it on the big screen again. Toy Story 5 will feature a new character named Smarty Pants, voice by Conan O’Brien. The film will also feature a new Villain tablet called Lilypad and a rogue group of Buzz Lightyears.

Zootopia 2 announced it’s new voice actor cast additions and will feature big names such as Ke Huy Quan voicing Gary De'Snake, Patrick Warburton voicing Mayor Winddancer, and Yvette Nicole Brown voicing dual cameos as The Bearoness and EMT Otter. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman will return as the charismatic duo, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. It’s currently scheduled for release on November 26, 2025.

Hexed, a new original film from Disney Animation Studios was announced and is scheduled for release November 2026. An awkward teenage boy and his overprotective mother discover he has magical powers that will turn their world upside down. The film is directed by Josie Trinidad and Jason Hand

Fans got a special sneak peek at exclusive footage of The Mandalorian & Grogu. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters in 2026.
