In 2006, television journalist Chris Hansen sets out to make television history. As the host of To Catch a Predator, Hansen and the show’s dedicated production team embark on an ambitious mission: expose online predators and turn their controversial investigation series into one of the biggest shows on television. Behind the cameras, however, the pursuit of ratings, shocking

revelations, and television history comes with its own pressures and challenges.

While Primetime suffers from pacing issues, Robert Pattinson delivers a standout performance as Chris Hansen—arguably one of the finest of his career. However, the film struggles when he is off-screen. Visually, the film shines with dynamic stylistic choices that give it a sharp, distinct atmosphere. Ultimately, the story lacks emotional resonance and fails to deliver a meaningful message, missing a key opportunity to explore its core themes with greater depth.
