When a hapless medical courier (Austin Abrams) is tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital, a sudden outbreak forces him into a desperate fight for survival against hordes of bloodthirsty, mutated creatures.

Resident Evil opens strong with a suspenseful first half, skillfully balancing genuine jump scares with unexpected moments of comedy. Abrams delivers an exceptional performance, single-handedly anchoring the film. However, the narrative stumbles in its third act, weighed down by repetitive humor and an unsatisfying resolution.
