The Batman Part 2 Delayed Again to 2028, But First Footage Offers Hope
In another setback for DC fans, Warner Bros. has delayed 'The Batman Part II' for the third time. Part II was originally scheduled to be released on October 3, 2025 but was pushed due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) strikes. The film was subsequently delayed twice: first to October 2, 2026, and then to October 1, 2027. As of now, the film is slated to premiere on February 18, 2028.
On one hand, these delays give everyone involved ample time to make the best film possible. On the other hand, each setback only raises audience expectations higher.
Back in May, fans got a sneak peek at the batmobile in snowy weather. Director Matt Reeves has since confirmed Part II will take place during winter in a snow covered Gotham.
To soften the blow of this latest delay, Reeves released a brief teaser offering a first look at Batman surrounded by falling snow. He also confirmed that Batman’s cowl features taller ears, hinting at upgrades to his Batsuit. Check out the teaser below!
